The symposium has rooms reserved at the "Ramada - Lake Shore Chicago" hotel, located 2 miles north of 63rd Street Beach. Rooms are held at 159.00 per night until April 21, 2008. Rooms with two double beds and rooms with one king bed are available. Please mention the "Windy City Kayak Symposium" when making your reservation to receive this special rate.

University of Chicago - International House
For the more budget minded participant, rooms are also available at the International House on the University of Chicago campus. The International House is located 1.5 miles from the symposium site. Two different styles of lodging are available. The first is single dorm style rooms with one bed, desk and closet and cost 59.00 per night. The second is a room with a queen bed, television, desk and closet for 89.00 per night. Reservations are made through the symposium registration form, not the International House.

Saturday, June 7, 7:30pmNeaby "Bar Louie" is the site for our Saturday evening dinner! Join us at 7:30 at this casual restaurant for good food, a band, and fun with your fellow symposium participants and coaches! This event is included with any symposium registration that includes Saturday! If you’re not registered for Saturday, come anyways, the cost is 15.00 per person. Alcohol is not included, but is available at the restaurant.

Beach House Barbecue
Friday, June 6, 4:30pmThe Beach House Barbecue is a perfect way to end the activities of the first day. Following the afternoon session on Friday, hang out down at the beach for some pulled pork and beef brisket barbecue that is second to none! Don’t worry, we haven't forgotten you vegetarians and, the "fixins" rival the main dish. Join us for this relaxed, fun, way to wrap up the afternoon!

We’ll have as many of the coaches and manufacturers’ reps down at the beach as we can wake-up to talk paddling, equipment and any other wide range of topics that may come up!
